Project 365

What is Project 365 you ask? Well, it is a concept wherein you take one picture a day for an entire year. Seems sinple, right? I have tried this before with just a month and it was hard. But it is January, the start of a new year, a time for positive change.... so, I am going to give it a whirl... Since it is the 5th, I will need to play a bit of catch up but I think I can... so here goes...

This picture was taken of Brenna shortly after midnight, only a few minutes into the new year. While not the best shot, it captures one of our little holiday traditions, sparkling cider for the kids for New Years. They love the novelty of it, but rarely drink an entire glass.

We always try and get a group picture on New Years. This year we were all a bit worn out after midnight so we waited until the 2nd to take one. We got a very nice one of all of us, smiles and all. Then the kids asked to do a crazy one....

I was enjoying a lazy Sunday morning when the kids told me that they were working on a surprise for me. They told me to stay in bed (which is never hard) and that they would call me when they were ready. They led me out to the kitchen and this is what I found on my plate for breakfast. Pretty darn cute, wouldn't you say?

I have mixed feelings about taking down all of the Christmas decorations. For the most part, I am usually ready. After all, we started decorating about a month ago. But part of me misses the little special things that only come out at Christmas. So, for today's picture(s) I decided to take photos of the newest editions to our handmade Christmas ornaments. Brenna made the top one (those are her fingerprints on the bell) and Andrew made the second one. I will treasure these every year as I put them on our tree.

I finally went back to the gym today.... trying to be good. My friend Sue went with me and we chatted the whole time on the treadmill (shocking, I know). I am really going to try and make it there two times a week now. Only time will tell.

  1. I belonged to Planet Fitness when I lived in Medford, MA. They were the new thing--great to know they are still up and running.
